You need to address the source and cause of the infection. The infection is caused by the fungi candida albicans which is a naturally occurring microorganism. However under certain circumstances this organism will overgrow and cause a lot of problems. Some of which include:
Painful Sex, Painful Urination, Fishy Vaginal Odor, Rashes, Vaginal Discharge, Acne And many other symptoms.
Preventative Measures-
Inorder to prevent a yeast infection, you need to assess your health and some of the things that you do on a daily basis. This will determine if you have a recurring yeast infection. Some of the things you should do are listed below:
1. Limit your sugar and alcohol intake- Yeast feed on sugar so if you constantly intake a lot of sugar your will be promoting the growth of candida albicans.
2. Shower daily- It is best if you shower at least twice per day to get rid of sweat and dirt that will create a dirty environment which will encourage yeast growth.
3. Dry your body properly- Moisture also promotes that growth of yeast. This means that you should dry properly after you shower or swim or even if you accidentally get wet.
4. Do not wear tight clothing- Tight clothing will cause you to sweat a lot and produce heat and this will also encourage the growth of yeast.
